Sandman has often be asked why he would call a sand art by the name Ballerina.
A simple answer would be, because the sand is dancing in smooth motions like a ballerina.
The inspiration Sandman got from a barmaid in Atlanta, whose graceful moves caught his attention. He asked an immediately she stood on her tiptoes and turned a pirouette.
Inspiration always finds a way of expression. The art is feeling the spark, following the fire and creating something of real beauty out of that. Get inspired by this wonderful piece of art.
