KEEP YOUR BREATH IN SILENCE
In 1999 a total eclipse raced across Austria. A rare happening. The last one before was in 1842. It is a once in a lifetime happening at the place you life.
Sandman at that time went to a place to see the maximum. You would not believe there are people who travel around the globe to see that happening, like an Austrian hobby Astronomer who chartered planes for 150 eclipse nerds to travel to places in Africa once a year.
After that eclipse in 99 Sandman created his first eclipse sand art called ‘Corona’. This artwork shows the moment short before the sun gets dark, when the last beam of the sun is visible. The eclipse looks like a Diamond Ring.
If you have ever encountered a total eclipse you know the magic of those few minutes. It gives you goosebumps.
The sand blend of this artwork is reflecting the ruby colour of this eclipse and turns it into a never to forget moment.
RELAXING AND EXCITING
Moving sand art has a kind of magic, enchanting young and old alike.
That magic is caused by the curvy and slow movement of the sands on their way down to bottom. From brain research we know that certain kind of movements can sooth us. Like watching a fire or a waterfall. Those are the kind of movements sending the signal no danger here. They produce alpha waves in our brain, causing a calm and concentrated state of mind.
Using sand art for soothing and relaxing is the simplest kind of meditation. And it works without learning any techniques: turn the picture, watch and relax.
You will turn it again and again, just because you are curious about how the next sand formation will look alike.
YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR SAND ART!
