Rainer Korber, Sand-Nuts
If there was one fan, the real nerd for sand art, than it was this man. We met at an exhibition in in Salzburg in 1993 where he wordless and fascinated watched my works. When I asked him a question after half an hour, he said he does not need my assistance, he just wanted to enjoy what he sees. Just a few years later he got a collection of 9 sand art pieces, all singular artworks or tailored to his wishes.
Through his fascination for my works we became close friends. Rainer passed away in 2024.
May he find the peace he found in sand art, wherever he is now.
