Sandman’s sand blends and colour combinations are unique. The sands used and the fineness of the sands are the key for the beauty of a sand art. The colour combination is defining the character like in Vista, which is pure fantasy, while other sand blends are representing typical landscapes, like in Ice Age.
The different colours of sands are slightly mixing and therefore creating shades like in a beautiful aquarelle painting. You will miss that in sandpictures with coarse sands or such with only 2 kinds of sands.
Our sand blends are mostly mixtures of 5 different kinds of sand. We have exceptions with less kind of sands or special blends made of 7 or 8 kinds of sand. We use finely milled minerals, natural sands (deserts, beaches, rivers), coloured quartz, colour powders and glitter particles. It’s important that each kind of sand has a different weight. That’s why they separate to layers. The difference in weight can be achieved by sieving or by choosing sands with different densities.
